Hot Dip Galvanization

Hot Dip Galvanizing Process is a technical process for applying zinc coating on iron and steel surfaces to protect against corrosion. The zinc coating firstly protects the base metal by acting as an impervious shield between the metal and the atmosphere and secondly affords sacrificial protection even when moderately sized areas of the base metal surface are exposed.

  • Our operations are guided by a seven-step process in strict accordance with IS 2629, ensuring full compliance with IS and ASTM standards. Adding to our efficiency, we’ve implemented a fully computer-controlled SCADA system, overseeing all controls and maintaining comprehensive records. This system includes built-in alarms that promptly signal any deviations from established parameters.
  • In real-time, we monitor bath temperatures and diligently record this data. To maintain the purity of our zinc coating process, our pickling and de-greasing tanks are equipped with continuous filtration systems, effectively removing iron particles from the solution to prevent defects in the zinc coating. The acid strength is regularly monitored, and corresponding records are meticulously maintained.
  • Our flux tank is designed with a filtration system and controlled heating, following IS 2629 guidelines. Instead of conventional hot plate heating, we use a forced air flow heat chamber to dry the product after the flux tank. This method ensures thorough drying and prevents common galvanizing defects such as black spots and zinc peeling.
  • Our furnace is equipped with high efficiency imported burners featuring modulation systems, utilizing clean LPG fuel. We’ve also implemented a highly efficient material handling system to streamline our operations. To minimize our consumption of fresh water, our quenching tank is fitted with a cooling tower fan.
  • Lastly, our commitment to quality extends to our chemical tanks, all constructed from premium German PPH sheets. These tanks are welded using European Butt-welding machines, adhering to DVS standards, to ensure their durability and reliability.
